Statement Of Intent
The coast has always been an interest of mine. Living with water on virtually four sides of Cornwall, I have aimed to utilise some of those moments in time that the erosion of the sea soon takes away. The coast is such a fascinating place to be able to photograph; the colours and shapes make for an interesting place to record. What is also fascinating, is capturing the waves as they hit the shore line, creating some of their many different patterns.
My aim in the panel is to show through coastal abstracts my own artistic feel of the places visited.
The panel was created by printing on Permajet Art 210 paper and using a portrait format in the mounts. The idea behind the panel was to show colour/movement and the ever changing light. Although the panel was called Coastal Abstracts, I prefer to see them as Impressionistic pieces of Art.
